Vol. 141 Individualist “Chptr 11 and Vrs 2”

Following on interview with Yamaguchi-san “B” on  “Individualist “Chptr 11 and Vrs 1

I started this platform as to broadcast what the local Japanese are up to plus a little bit of my sloppy daily thought. Yet, As I look back to my previous article (or should I even call them articles?) talking about great entities here in Japan. Most of things I could see was my crappy bitching. I mentioned couple times that I was unfortunate enough to encounter some of bad things that had happened to me.
And now I somehow notice that your turmoil of unspoken thought might be better off to let it out but it would cause you to have a consistent negative impact on your life if you keep letting all out. Or even thinking about it would somehow bring you a bad luck. That’s the lesson that I have been learning and keep forgetting. I really need to straighten my life up though. I mean this time it’s a bit serious…  do what I need to do!!

“At this moment, what is right for me would be “be open to people’s conversation and thought, think with your own mind, and act based upon those.””

IO) What does Japanese and English (your own tongue) mean to you?

Yamaguchi-san) Japanese would be none other than part of my body. English would be one of the communication tools.

IO) What does Japan, being Japanese or being a Japanese descendant mean to you? How do you think it has impacted your life and your success?

Yamaguchi-san) I found myself come up with nothing with this questions for now though I have spent some time to think about it. I am sorry.

IO) What do you think are the positive and negative points about being Japanese, Japanese descendants, and Japanese culture?

Pros: interacting people with manners and consideration.
Cons: there seems to be a social cue that failure is not an option.

IO) Is there anything you find strange about Japan as a Japanese/Japanese (American/Canadian/Brazilian)

Yamaguchi-san) I feel that being Japanese (Japan) are essentially no different from being foreigner (foreign country). I think that each every countries has various type of place and so many difference kinds of people.

(Though there would be so many difference of process to the definition of happiness and how to achieve it, essentially we are all sharing a common goal to become happy so that I do not necessarily feel something weird about Japan or being Japanese.)

Yamaguchi-san) As a Japanese/Japanese descendants, for you have any ambition, envy, aspirations against western (U.S. for example) or Japanese cultures? How has Western/Japanese culture influenced you and your creativity? How do you feel about Western/Japanese culture, do you think it has had an impact on your work?

I do not have any type of aspiration against certain countries or regions. I, myself have been influenced from various cultures by talking with different kinds of people from different countries. Japan has been receiving a whole amount of information from western countries so that I am pretty sure it has been influenced tremendously compared with other countries.

Precisely, I am influenced a lot by American and European music, street culture from those countries such as skateboarding.

IO) How do you think Japan is going to become? Any thoughts?

Yamaguchi-san) Japan will always be a beautiful country for sure.

IO) Any plan to go abroad or expand your entity?

Yamaguchi-san) My product will be sold in Taiwan from September and I will expand my business to other countries as well.

IO) How would you define life in one sentence?

Yamaguchi-san) A journey to keep thinking what is right.

At this moment, what is right for me would be “be open to people’s conversation and thought, think with your own mind, and act based upon those.”

IO) Something that you are currently into? What is a current hobby or interest of yours?

Yamaguchi-san) I have been having my eyes on Mr. Yusaku Maezawa. (CEO of START TODAY CO., LTD.). The reason is that he acts on the philosophy of seriously trying to accomplish “world peace” through his company management and business.

Other than that, I am trying to keep an eye on something new and unknown.
